This portrait was commissioned  at the Safari Club Internatiional Show.    It portrays this couple from Florida, and some of their safari hunts in Africa. 
I painted their portrait in oil using their hunting photos and close up photos I took of them at the SCI show for reference to draw from.
The portrait shows the  lion is alive, as it was a darted hunt.  This portrait commemorates their safari.

Showing the importance and power of the elephant in the African landscape was part of a determining factor in the commissioning
of this oil painting.  The sunset, serengeti, and herd of giraffe tie it all together, making a vision of Africa.
